Joe Roy drove the car at some point . I don't know if Frank Marino did drive it. That car was built by Don Ness Racecraft. It is now in Regina , Sakatchewan , Canada. I have a few more picture , I need to downsize them.

Yes it was a Don Grotheer car. However Don never raced it in Pro Stock. It had a 440 Six Pack in it when Don had it. If I recall it was a B/MP car. I am not sure if Don ever raced it as that. It was a car he took to the Clinics.

This is a Pro Stock Dart owned by my buddy Carroll Morris. We've been trying to figure out who originally raced the car. Carol has traced it back to Gene Holt in Richmond VA. and the trail goes cold. Here is Herb McCandless looking at the car in 2008 at the All Hemi Reunion. The car was built by Don Hardy and was acid dipped with a magnesium Dana. If anybody recognizes the car let us know.

Looks like it has the same hood scoop and wheelie bars as Larry Huff's 'Soapy Sales' pro stocker, but sits much higher. Has it had suspension work done?

Larry Huff's car was built by Dick Landy. Landy bought it back from him when he crashed his personal Dart Sport, and repainted it to his colors. The car is restored as the Landy car.

I didn't realize they were the same car, I knew the car was restored as the Landy Dart. Looking at photos, there is a lot of similarities. Did Landy borrow this Dart after crashing his?

Re: 70's & 80's Pro Stockers

Yes, that was a Carlton-Hodges chassis he borrowed to run at Columbus. Landy wrecked his original Dart twice. He rebuilt it the first time.

So the car that I saw at the Muscle Car Museum is Huff's old car ?

Here's one for ya. I bought this a while back being told it was a pro stocker. 70 maverick Dana 60 ladder bars. No engine or trans. I sanded to the original 70s war paint. Let me know if you recognize the car as I don't have any real history on it.http://rs156.pbsrc.com/albums/t3/Chr...qy.jpg~320x480

I don't know where the Mahogany Rush record photo went but I'm talking about the 1980 Mahogany Rush Dodge Omni.

Yes it did. I know that Joe Roy drove it when the car was still a Pro Stock but that didn't last too long. Rene Lessard bought it, I don't know what year that was, made a couple of passes and put it away for some years. I bought it in 1993, had it rebuilted with a new rear frame and a new cage. I raced it from 1995 to 1999, won a few races, Ran 8.77-153 best, with a cast iron heads 446c.i., then I sold it to a guy from Regina sask. It hasn't changed much since. I haven't talked to the current owner for the past two years but I think he is still racing it. I don't know how to post pics. Sorry.

I saw this car in the pits (near staging lanes entrance) with Frank and crew doing work on the engine before first qualifying session on Friday afternoon at the 1981(?) Summernationals in Englishtown, NJ.

Yes he did. In 75 I moved from Atlanta to Colorado and worked a few races for Darrel Zimmerman in Div V. I had worked for Buster in Div ll 70-75 so I knew Stewart. Imagine my surprise when he shows up at a points meet in Pueblo, Colo with the Colt with Seymour Guntz as the listed driver. He was racing under the radar so to speak. Last time I saw him race.
