Thanks Dudes... I've played with quite a few acts, over the years, but this one was probably the coolest of all... Considering Gary Richrath had just passed, Kevin had never NOT played this song on stage, and "Ridin' THe Storm Out" was the last song Gary had played with REO at a benefit in 2013, I was honored and humbled that they thought enough of me, and or my playing, to give me the invite... Gary was a major influence on me, in my younger years...I still listen to REO/TWO all the time... Great record...

Hi Brent, being a home grown build it yourself Class Racer who runs a less popular combo and just happens to be a rock star is as cool as it gets IMO. I tell people all the time, if it doesn't make horsepower or music, I'm not interested, my world revolves around those two things. Congrats on a show you'll remember forever.

Brent, did you get to make any run's on the car with the TH350 yet ? What did the data show ?

well, ended up running 11.39,11.401,11.39,11.39 and 11.387 one night, with some decent conditions...about 1st middle of September... but that was with the 400 trans.... Didnt see anything with the 350 trans... didnt match those #'s, 11.43 was the best, so far...not sure , maybe air and overall conditions werent as good... or the 400 is actually faster, in my case... although, the 350 seems to react quicker, the #'s dont really show any gains....

thanks Rich... im gettin real good at switching back and forth, from 350 to 400 setups.. hehe Funny thing is that the 350 basically showed no gain...kind of a wash...but, the car seems to feel a tad better on the launch, even though the ET slips dont show it...same 2.75 low gear. I havent tried that setup with the 2.48 low gear trans that i have... i find it hard to believe that this engine and gear would like 2.48 low, over the 2.75... Im gonna attend the Indy and Norwalk divisionals in May, then the big 462, 2.48 trans and maybe 4.30 gear, or the 4.10 will go back in for awhile...i miss running 10's and its gonna cost cubic dollars to get there, with the 400 engine... I havent given up yet...hehe

Im thinkin about a 1/2'' stroker and ported heads :) Nah, gonna run the first couple divisionals, Indy and Norwalk, and then possibly put bracket engine back in, for the season... The 400 has about 240 passes on it right now, goin to about 300, then yanking it out... maybe then, i can do some work to the heads, or atleast figure out if my other castings flow better, or not...

Hoping to test this weekend, at Indy, but not sure if the weather is gonna cooperate... oh well.... DIdnt make any changes to the car, except new front runners... I do have a couple carbs to test... Its supposed to be 25 degrees tonight, and its been spitting snow, since 6pm... I did manage to change oil...hehe

Well, had a great Saturday, last weekend... First time out , for the season, picked up the win in SPortsman class... car ran best of 11.49, on bias slicks... went 6 rounds, for a final 11.49 heads up race, with ex stocker guy, Jerry Long, in his 69 Camaro... it was awesome... headin to INdy divisional this coming weekend...Had a gig last night, so, no racing, but ready to hit it again!~

Brent,you know,even though it may not be a record holder you have done very good with the car.You have tried things, some worked some didnt but you kept going.It would be a shame to take it back to a bracket car when you have gone rounds,won and finished very well.Keep it up and congratulations !

Thanks.... its still running good, and i have a couple other things to try, this year... I may not pull engine, until real late in the season... and wont be a bracket car, very long... i just want to possibly freshen it, and try to get a set of heads done, next winter...it has 250 passes on it , right now...it will probably be pretty tired, by seasons' end... but, a hone and set of rings wont be too expensive,,, hopefully a set of heads will be in the budget":) sticking with same cam, for awhile...
