Often overlooked as one of the founding fathers of R&R, due to his short life, is Eddie Cochran.. At about 1:50 in this clip, he can be seen looking to the heavens in tribute to his good friends ,Richie Valens and Buddy Holly.. He was an inspiration to thousands of young and up coming musicians . One being Brian Setzer, who played him in the Valens movie.

One of the most tasteful overdubbed triple guitar solo in the history of recorded rock and roll. I can listen to it over and over. Never gets stale..He plays every instrument on this song!!
