Re: Musical Tastes
Jethro Tull bassist Glenn Cornick was born on this day in 1947. Hippy festivals, original grunge?

Re: Musical Tastes
I found a YT video that Henley hasn't blocked , today.
Maybe b/c it's a live BBC recording Written by R&R HOF-ers Gene Clark and Bernie Leadon and also from the Eagles first album. See if you notice the two subtle, accidental nods to drag racing here ;-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v94XfEb5EmQ |

May 6th, 1970 , the first POCO album was released.
Always happy to notate R&R HOF members here ;-) In this clip, Timothy B Schmidt had already replaced Randy Meisner, as he did when joining the Eagles..Also founding member of Poco and The Buffalo Springfield, Richie Furay.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CWpqJVg7MQ |
Re: Musical Tastes
We recently found out that REM's Superman was a cover song by the Clique from the late, late 60's.
Here we have The Clique covering a Tommy James song, who's signature sound is all over it. This song was al over the radio when it came out, but it seems the oldies stations have completely forgot it. We're bringing it back here...;-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQVTVkmCAAQ |
