Great looking car. You should be very proud doing a build from the ground up. Barry

Progress has been slow trying to sort out the new dragster motor.

The new shock mounts should be done this week. Hopefully starting getting on it again but every day I see my goal of the Dutch slipping away.

Just got some stuff back from the hydro dipper. Stuff came out great, it’s tough to tell the real carbon from the hydro dip.

Picked up a 1’x1’ pice of carbon to cover the holes in the dash pad and ended up on a mission to use it all...

Ok... enough sulking about the new dragster motor, I’ll get into this later but for now it’s time to get back on this stocker.

For what it's worth. -Al

So after some back and forth we decided to give Alan’s idea I shot rather than a “technical tap” on the header. We took about a 1/8 of the bosses and looks like I’ve got plenty clearance even with the header gasket.

Some needed stuff also arrived.

Glad it worked out. I did it for clearance on #7 and the box. -Al

Time for a little update....

Once the car was on the ground I felt the seat brackets I made had me sitting a little high. I ended up with these from Rhodes race cars. Much more comfortable and still bolt in stock location.

Plumbing and wiring is just about finished up under the hood.

Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!!!

Figured time for a update.

1st off a huge thanks to Glen Sanders. Not only are his rims a thing of art his customer service it top notch!

My original plan was to use the newer style willwood master cylinder. I also wanted to use the bickel brake rod retainer but it turns out they won’t work together.

I decided to just use the Mopar style, I didn’t really want to open and elongate the mounting holes so I found this trick adapter from TRZ Motorsports.

The hole was 5 thou small for the Bickel kit, a little sanding and it fits together perfect.

Big thanks to Mark Markow race cars in south Windsor CT.

Was able to cross a bunch of big stuff off the list..

Had the rear end centered up and pinion angle set then welded the Calvert perches.

Also had him add a tab for the racepak censor. The pick up had to be machined to fit around the yolk.

Getting the car set up for weight has been on my mind for a while. Mark nailed it!! Also provisions above the axle for the small bars and brackets where the rear seat would be for the large bars.
