I keep thinking, how many trips to the hardware store does this guy make or has he got his own stash of racing hardware that will fill a large room? Secondly every time I think I’m overspending on my build I just look at his and then show my wife how much money I’m saving!
Awesome job!

Funny you mention that but I usually wind up ordering from McMaster car once or twice a week for hardware and have a long list of wiring suppliers I order from online.

I have a large Husky tool box from Home Depot that is filled with just hardware and wiring supplies alone, plus a couple totes as well. It's a challenge to stay organized on a large project like this. My basement is a huge mess with car parts scattered all over. Thankfully its slowly getting better as more of the car is assembled.

Most never give much thought to how expensive quality wiring supplies are these days. Between Deutsch connectors, fiberglass braided wire loom, txl wire, tefzel wire, cable ties and cable clamps, it's easily a couple thousand dollars. Then add in about $2500 in specialty tools for the wiring...

I've had others inquire about hardware and supplies so I ran to the garage to snap a few pics.

The black tool box is just for hardware and supplies. bigger drawers have some tools like a heat gun, label maker and a hydraulic tool for crimping battery cables. I looked into Lista cabinets but they are crazy expensive. I got this box on sale for $500. I also looked into the drawer style metal storage boxes with the flip up lid, again they are costly for a single one, much less a bunch to organize a bunch of hardware. A good friend has all of his stuff organized in several towers of those, can't imagine what he has invested in the drawers alone much less filling them.

The little red bins come in numerous sizes. I found a site online where you can buy varieties. They were reasonably priced and made organizing alot easier.

I ran out of room in the tool box so I've been forced to use more of the Husky small parts storage boxes. This one is for small 6-32 to 10-32 button head hardware. What makes these cool is they are 18-8 stainless in black finish which most people don't know is available.

Also got the Coan 400xlt back from a post crash inspection, all ready for the new Mustang.

I had to fix the only issue I could find with the M&M shifter...the stubby wire lead on the neutral safety switch.

Disassembled and created my own harness and terminated with a Deutsch DTM connector. Pretty simple fix.

Little details.

Took time to install and wire the firewall starter bump switches.

These Ferrules keep the copper wire strands from being damaged when the screws are tightened. They also provide a nice finished look.
