Re: H-I-J '76 Nova re-fit.

Got a little work in this afternoon, Autumn ran some parts, I ran the new return line and installed the collector tethers. Should have some more done tomorrow night, I'll get some pictures.

Just thinking is it possible that while assembling the fitting into the hoses that a piece of something somehow got into the hose?

No, it was flowing into the tank from the return line like a fire hose.

try another regulator you got the old one from when you got the car you just might have a bad regulator--FED 387

Whew, been down and out feeling bad last couple of days. Got the tank back in to test the return line change today. We'll be hard at it this weekend!

Very nice.

I would not have guessed that the return line size difference would have been the issue here. Good job.

And I hope you'll be feeling better too.

The line change made a total of 7psi difference. Thank you, feeling much better.

Just getting ready to leave work, stayed to re-coat the tank and a few more pieces to bolt on this weekend. Autumn and I will be at it tomorrow... wish us luck with the fire up.

Todd, an extension on the return line fitting (in the tank) will reduce the aeration. Nice video. :) -Al

Are you planning ahead for maybe a small tire superstock combo in the future because your safety equipmemt seems to be well beyond nhra requirment for high 10 second stocker and the only thing thats really made me notice that is the window net, dont normally see that u less it absolutely required.

I didn't nor do I want a cage in this car, she is so short we felt her being away from the main hoop required us to do the cage for her safety, so since the cage is in the net needed to be there too. Now with that said... we are not tied to NHRA, Stock, Super Stock or anything else for that matter. When we aren't having fun I'll throw a turbo LS in this thing, a Lenco and hit the streets for Drag Week or whatever makes us smile. Small tire SS... maybe that would work too, you never know.

Re: H-I-J '76 Nova re-fit.

Finished up the rear bumper this morning after my weekly fastener shopping trip to Ace Hardware (best selection around). Trying to get a fuel fitting under the car at the rear bulkhead to stop leaking, well it doesn't even drip it just stays a little damp, no chance so I'll have to take it apart to see whats up. Put the last fitting on the radiator overflow and connected that. Installed the rear hatch and shock things. Worked on the front bumper, filler panels and the grill. We fired it off for about 10 seconds to get the timing close to where it would run and shoved it outside, the posted video is from there as we had to get it turned around to finish the front bumper.

Almost forgot, the fan came in today. Delta PAG, made in USA, ultra light brushless with soft start and 50k hour rating. Very nice!

Todd , I have to agree with all who posted here this build and thread is the gold standard that all other will be judged by. Really happy to see Autumn in the car as it was moving on its own power . I wonder if you realized your accomplishments here. I think you need a camera crew filming for your own TV show ....thanks again Nick

Thank you Nick. A tv show might be a bit much for me, and it might be a bit too much cussin' for network tv hahaha.

Trying to get the passenger seat mounted and I'm thinking of just bolting it straight to the floor with no mounts to keep it low, obviously no one will be in it. Is that a legitimate option?

Re: H-I-J '76 Nova re-fit.

This weekend we worked on the fan and little wiring doodad for it, Autumn painted some interior pieces so we could get the door rubber and panels on, worked on seat mounting, made the template for the rear firewall and some small misc. stuff.
