Still no luck with finding a engine management system...everytime I find something I get outbid.

Question for the Mustang racers...what type of air system works best on these engines? Are the aftermarket cold air kits legal?

Been following your build. Why not use the MegaSquirt standalone engine management? Fairly cheap for what you get, especially since you can eliminate the mass air. You can buy it in kit form and build it yourself to save even more.

Want to stay mass air to begin with. I just bought a used Anderson PMS IV today so I should be covered in that area now.

The Anderson works well, I have used it many times before. But there is a little bit of power to be made getting the mass air out of the way. The only reason I would run piggyback over a standalone is if rules required it, (which as far as I can tell, they don't here) As far as budget, for what the Megasquirt costs about the same as you pay for a used Anderson PMS, factory computer and aftermarket mass air meter.

Prepare to add some grey hairs! I thought getting one of these set up would be a little easier but mine has proven to be a total PITA. I hope yours goes smoother than mine did!

You using a PMS Jon? My plans are to just begin with the factory settings after setting the TPS...should at least attempt to start. :p

I've been following your build. I run the pms on my stocker and it works ok. pretty easy to use. chassis dyno is your friend! good luck with your project.

Not needed on this car, but I ran across this Aerospace rear brake system for half price and could'nt pass on it. This one may never have much go, but it will definitely whoa hehe. Much easier/quicker to pull the axles vs the drum set-up to boot.

While the engine parts are at the machine shop I think I shall begin putting the interior back in the car...be prepared for a shocking change in appearance. :)

Thanks for the updates. When my granddaughter is done with Jr's, we are going to need to find something else for her to race. I have everything to put my 64 Fairlane back out there but a Fox body would be the cheapest way to go.
