There is no spring in there like the old ones. If the solinoid is free to move without any binding there is nothing it can do to slow up your RT's. Maybe you blinked or your getting feeble.....:p:eek:

Maybe he's just a little long in the tooth.

Dave, I do not have a good answer for you on this one.
Usually if a solenoid goes bad the brake will not hold or holds intermittenly.
Heat is a killer of a lot of things on a trans.
I always suggest running as big a trans cooler as possible and a deep pan if possible. That helps with the temp issues.
That is about all I can come up with at this time.
Hope this helps.
Rick

Yea yea...and believe me that certainly happens from time to time, but these come when I am really focused so I'm not ready to believe thats it me (yet)..

Some one else posted a reply about "getting long in the tooth" ...I think he used to race but I cant really remember when, so I'm not gonna comment on that one....

I think I remember that guy, I also think he was div. 1 champ , but it's been so long since I seen him at the track he may have retired. He looked preetty old to me.

Dave,
Kruggie had an inconsistancy problem a couple months ago. Put a new solenoid in --- problem solved.

Yes, sorta. All standard stroke length solenoids will work on the Hipster valve body however there are a few specials out there with different strokes. They all screw into the transmission case, 11 threads per inch thread. Ray

Hey Dave.... I had a similar problem some years back.... intermittent release.... my lights were worse than yours.... went through everything and found nothing.... then one night at Island, in the semi's, I let go of the button and the car sat for like 15 seconds.... went home, got a new button, problem solved.... check it out if you haven't already.....
