Re: A990 Super Stockers
Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't the Butch Leal " California Flash " super stocker built by the factory many years later and at that time was ahead of its time in construction and /or detail.--------John:confused:

Quite possibly the 'first' scheduled Match Race Event
between a 65' A-990 Race Hemi Plymouth versus a 65' A-990 Race Hemi Dodge. These Super/Stockers weren't running on 7" skinny slicks though,,, March 21, 1965 http://www.doverdragstrip.com/phpBB3...le.php?id=5044 |

Re: A990 Super Stockers
Alex, I hope you don't mind but I just used some photos from your Classracer album...anyway can you clear up some history on the car, as mentioned earlier Ken Montgomery owned it so I assume he got it off of Jack Werst or someone else...also have you started the restoration on the Jack Werst '65 A990 Plymouth yet...and whats the story on the red '65 A990 Plymouth.
