Re: ford mustang s/na question
Very interesting topic. I just picked up a 89 5 speed car i am thinking of doing for Stock. Some good info in here.
Anyone know how close to index they run with minor changes, like a 4.30 gear, cold air intake, bigger MAF, and a good tune? |
Re: ford mustang s/na question
were running right now --without-- a good tune or adjustability 13.0 / 12..9 still working on the weight but this car has only a few allowable mods in it right now .cant wait to see what it does with some adjustabilty to the ecm .its nice to see other fox bodys in this class .we are running n/sa which i believe has a new recent record of 11.9 set with a 84 t bird turbo car so we have our work cut out to be competitive but its within reach now . as we have more progress we will post our results good luck

i saw the mods you have in your first post - are you running a stocker cam? not looking for specs, just curious if that's a stock eliminator grind or something much less radical. hope to get my 87 out to test before snow hits the ground, i have a stick though. What rpm are you trapping at? thanks! |
Re: ford mustang s/na question
running a comp cam for stock elim nhra reg lift with a ton of duration the car is running 5500 -6000 at 98 mph 13.0 or 12.9 with 15 psi in a 30 X 9.5 hoosier with 16 psi we get 100 mph 60 ft times are 1.78 to 1.80. last fri night we took a sponsors wife down the strip (with a pass you can only run 14.0 or above) he got carried away wanted to show her what it could do and ran a 13.2 with a passenger not bad
