Re: Master Cly Install Help
Tom - Don't know about Lamb, but Strange recommends using the rear port to the brakes which require the most volume. Using four-pistons front and rear on ours I just plumbed as usual with the rear port serving the rear system and used a 2lb residual valve in that line.

Re: Master Cly Install Help
I will check with Lamb on Monday, this is turning into a real search to find fittings to get this to work and look nice. Spent most of the day looking for stuff when I could have been working on the car. Like I said before it worked fine with the stock master cly and now I try and make it better and struggle big time. Thanks to all Tom

Re: Master Cly Install Help
Tom, the Dorman number for a 1/2"X20 nut for 3/16" tubing is 490-302. For 1/2"X20 1/4" tubing it's 490-305. In the link I posted earlier they are refered to as 'Oversize Tub Nuts'. The 'oversize' refers to the fact that the nut is larger than the normal brake line nuts for a specific tubing size. -Al

Re: Master Cly Install Help
I found some short lines with the big nuts on one end, and regular line nuts on the other. Pep Boys had various such lines.

Re: Master Cly Install Help
Would the BR-150 and BR-155 tubing nuts from the SUR & R company be the ones
Tom is looking for? If so, available from some auto parts stores...as well as Summit Racing. |
Re: Master Cly Install Help
Got it covered today with a call to Roger Lamb [great people] but he did have to go dig for them. Also on my app rear line goes to front brakes front line to the rear. I want to thank every one for your help. Tom

Napa/Gates Part #G49504-0303 adapts 9/16-20 to 3/16 female inverted flare.
I know you got it solved already, but thought I would put the info out there for future reference. Eddie Bolton |
