That is not legal in super stock. The rule says that there can't be a splice in the transbrake wiring. The wire must go directly from the switch to the 2 step and the transbrake.

As stated above it's not legal if that is an issue. Then I wonder what the theory is of using a relay. The 2 step obviously doesn't use much power. Generally controlling the transbrake solenoid with a relay isn't done or needed. Don't see what good a relay is going to do. Still think you have a bad connection somewhere.

Are we talking about a stocker with a brake pressure switch????

or

A super stocker with a transbrake button????

Friend of mine had the same problem on a stick car with a 7AL 2. We would only only change the 2 step launch like 200 rpms and it changed like 800-1000 rpms when he actually put it on the two step. Its the diff switches that are the problem. A lot of guys have the same problem. He switched to The Grid. Problem solved.
