Well it is Sunday morning and all the hoopla is going on for the pros over at the track! Here in the oval, rigs just keep pulling out and heading home. It was late last night before round 4 of all the sportsmen got over so most stayed over til this morning. I finally got to sleep in which I thoroughly enjoyed!

So it is down to Drew Skillman vs. Brett Candies and Daryl Bureski vs. Brett Speer in Stock today.
In super stock it is Brad Zaskowski vs. Tyler Wudarczyk (love trying to spell those!) and Ricky Decker vs. Greg Stanfield.
Any of these folks will be worthy Champions!!!
They will run after 2 rounds of pros!

Just fired mine up Friday for the first time since I re did the whole car and the Jerico went in ! I think I better go test before we head out of town lol . I'll see you guys at the divisional at St. Louis. I can't wait to drive this thing !

For those of you going to KS from St. Louis, exit 28 just before Kansas City, diesel at QT is $2.99. We have to support Paula Cotten’s retirement!!

There is a rv dump at the rest area at 310 mm but you have to back up to get out!

We are here! Good signage coming in and there was a lady on the road telling us to go down 1/4 mile and turn left. So now we are stacked until 3 tomorrow according to the schedule . We haven’t seen anybody yet to ask!

That is some great work, the early Challenger is one of the best designs of all time! The new one captures the old profile, alas on a too chunky scale.

We are here at the sight of the first U. S. Nationals. It kinda gives you "goose bumps" knowing you're at the exact spot where the first racer tried to qualify in 1955! I sure wish I could find a copy of the protest letter against the 1955 COPO's, I'm sure only the names and dates have changed.

Track elevation 1884'. It could be fast if the tail wind is strong.

We are in stacking and should be parking about 3 this afternoon according to the schedule. It is raining lightly and a little cooler today. We are going out to Granny's for breakfast. It was recommended by someone here at the track. We tried a place in town for dinner last night that I wasn't crazy about, but it could be that I just ordered the wrong thing. The name of the restaurant was The Page.

I have a few more pictures from Indy and on the road yesterday that I will post a little later.

Larry and Patsy, you are amazed by the windmills because as a small businessman you are amazed at government waste in action. Don't know which one is more costly, the windmills or the solar panels, Do away with them and take the savings and let the COPO guys use it to fund the hunt for more Horsepower. Now that was just too easy. At least I thought it was pretty good.
