Darrel Herron was able to fab a set of motor mounts for me. His fabrication skills are amazing.

We had to cut down the left side mount to put a full size oil filter on.

No I don't. I probably should put something together. Up till now it's been so "slow going" that I'm afraid I'd put people to sleep.
But maybe it would help some poor bastard in the future should he/she take on a project like this.
All kidding aside. I'm having a lot of fun putting this thing together. I'm sure you are too!
See ya at the track soon!

Thanks Kirk, good to know. When I was @ Indy last year I took a bunch of pics of Jeff Blanchard's CJ ( one you and RJ are familiar with) I have several of the engine compartment, and I see exactly what you mean.

Re: The "eBay CJ!" (2010 Mustang CJ 352 Build)

Where the upper control arm mounting bracket bolts we reinforced the floor on the inside of the car. We could not get our DA Strange front shocks loose enough so we put some Santuff front springs in and it helped the weight transfer. Also Calvert did make some parts for the front lower control arms. Looking good.

What springs did you go with? I did a tubular K swap and front coil over conversion on my 85GT over the winter and it doesn't feel like it is transferring weight as well as you would think it should. I'm running 175lb springs and Strange struts.
Thanks.

Another piece of the puzzle is this clutch linkage fabbed by Mike @ MPR, it is based on a Brad Zaskowski design that was built for George Wright. Any CJ racers needing one can contact Mike.

Time to update, things have gone slower than planned, non-stop lower back issues, and surgery to remove a bladder tumor reduced my ability to work on this as much as I would like., slowly getting things done, time for suspension install, all bolt-in stuff now.

Upper control arm mount is in, fabbing brake lines now, rear end will be in this weekend

It so rewarding to do a car like that .Looks very familiar. When it fires off for the first time you know you are near completion.

Looking good. What gear are you going to run and who made your adjustable spring perches?

JHeath 10-22-2018 09:10 PM

Re: The "eBay CJ!" (2010 Mustang CJ 352 Build)

5.14 rear gear, Racecraft Inc. makes the spring perches, Mike Pustelny suggested them.
