Love all the pictures. I really like the picture of The Barn, waiting for Jim Marshall. I believe I know the guys (Larry and Mike Merk) who built the Malibu Wagon for Jim and Pam. They only build top notch stuff. Should go through The Barn with no problem.

OOPS - - - Looks like Jim is in the Camaro for Indy, Oh well, that car should pass, as well.

I?m just guessing but I think that?s why NHRA wanted AHFS to stand at Indy. We all know there are probably a couple dozen cars that have more left too.

Stock in the lanes, Super Stock coming up later. Tech was in full swing today. Many cars were looked at and sealed. Fuel injected cars were looked at underneath, not sure what they were looking for. From what I hear tear down will be busy Friday.

Im pretty sure NHRA can look at MPH and figure out what's going on.
Guess they could start going off 1/8 mile times to collect legit data.

Ron - Yes, Larry & I built Jim's wagon as a roller. We didn't have anything to do with the power plant though. I wish I knew how to make power like that.

Hey guys, yeah... its raining. Not sure how many class cars are left. We had some rain that put racing on hold. It stopped and the track was almost dry, but the rains are back. The rain is supposed quit for good within the next hour or two.

I did get to run my class, and did come away with a win. It was a bitter sweet win as my good friend Tony Fagnilli in his COPO had the faster car, but because of the AFHS he did not want to get hit with HP. If he gets hit, he can no longer run AA. When looking at the time slip if he stayed into it, he would have ran between a 8.41 and 8.43. It would have been a great race and he probably would have got the win. Now he might not even qualify.

Not sure if other class cars are going through this issue, but its a dam shame when you can't let you car eat, especially at Indy.

I recorded my class experience... I start at my pit, go all the way through for the win and my time at the tear down barn and more.... yes they wanted to see a few things on my car. I hope to have it up tonight, so check back and see what class racers go through at Indy for the coveted Class trophy.

There were at least 6 NHRA tech guys, including Wesley Roberson ALL OVER the HEMI cars next to the barn/fuel check after Q1. They were measuring wheelbase, checking for the inner fender 'hump modification', checking carb offset spacing, and likely many other items I wasn't able to see, nor would it have been appropriate for me to stand over them and watch. I took a bunch of pictures of the overall scene, and will post them when I get real internet.

They were definitely taking things seriously !

Randy Eakins Goes 9.914 on his 11.35 index for a -1.436 under.

This is instant Horsepower and a 1st row seat to the teardown Barn..

That's one way to find out if your engine builder is making legal stuff. I doubt he meant to go 1.4 under and get an immediate invite to the barn..

I hope he can get ot back together in time for the race.

I still can't believe he did that.. Absolutely no reason...

Good morning folks. Stock and Super Stock get the day off, except for Stockers and Super Stockers that are in the barn. I will ride by and get some video.

Stock Q3, pending tech. Not sure why DRC has not posted yet. It was a pain just to get these sheets. I will have SS up in a bit.

Thank you Doug for all the photos from Indy. Thank you Ken for all you are doing at Indy, and the rolling in and in the pits videos. Between the 2 of you it is almost like being there.
