Then you'll be driving around the pits in low gear all the time.LOL

Probably told you before, but the TA valve body is the way to go. I know, the budget thing and all, but this idea will cost you more in the long run .Testing fees, fried frictions and steels, spilled and lost fluid ,etc.

With all due respect to my other friends that will build v.b.'s , Paul did a bunch of research before releasing his product. Trust me on this,.. all who may be reading here.

Being the cheap s.o.b I am, I could probably build my own now, but without a mill , surfacer and such, it's just not worth it .

Now, just waiting to see how you're going to get that converter on the money with an Ebay buy .. ;-)

Waiting for a Ebay price from you. I've been watching on classracer for one but haven't seen one yet. I don't have a core to build one.

Just an update. After 3 weeks of vacation I finally got back to this project. With a lot of help from Mark at Blue Streak Enterprise I took the front half of trans and valve body apart to make some much needed changes so this trans will live.

To my surprise when talking to Mark at Blue Streak Enterprise about a converter on a dime budget he called and said I have a converter from Chin Brothers Racing coming my way from Rhode Island. I'm suppose to try it and if it works just send $300. I was amazed and surprised to say the least that Mark found one and had it sent out to AZ across the entire country. Thanks again for the help and a chance to try a converter on a budget. Jeff

Spending weekends working on the last little bit. Trying to make Tucson divisional. Brakes bled, new longer studs on front wheels, fixing trans pan leak. Neutral safety switch needed, vent on fuel cell needed, then maybe test to see if trans works and then go down the track. My poor ramp truck needs attention as this car is 4200 lbs. and then try and keep up with Mustang II's

Finally have everything together and will make my maiden voyage Saturday night and TNT. I would to have liked to made the Tucson S/SS race but time and cost is allot for making the first pass. I hope I don't look silly and run some 16 second pass
