Re: Ford vs Chevy Build-up
Looking good Rich!! How's the engine coming along for it?

Re: Ford vs Chevy Build-up
Probably have the engine ready by next weekend Tony. The real hold up is the transmission...still nothing to go with yet.

Re: Ford vs Chevy Build-up
PM sent about transmission

Re: Ford vs Chevy Build-up
After a brief foray investigating a 4R70W transmission using a lock-up convertor it was determined the car would never have enough hp to take advantage of it. Back on track now for a C4 with a lower gearset. Still have not located a suitable core.

Re: Ford vs Chevy Build-up
Rich, what kind of paint did you use on the interior? Sorry, you may have mentioned this in a previous post, however I can't find it.
Thanks, Robert STK 2061 |

Re: Ford vs Chevy Build-up
I'll be able to button this up as soon as I finish manicuring the scraper. The lack of a C4 still plagues the project.

Re: Ford vs Chevy Build-up
Looks good!! As I told you on the other forum, just grab one of the large bell trans, as long as it's case fill. I'll give you a small bell for it, just pay shipping. Or get this '70 model trans I have and let your builder change out the front drum to a 24 spline unit from a '71 and newer. That's the only difference. You're getting close, I'm interested in seeing how it runs.

Re: Ford vs Chevy Build-up
Thanks Tony - I found a fellow in KY who says he has one. If he gets back to me I'm going to let him ship it directly to Arnett.
