Jeff then turned it into a 67 Shelby because of the better engine combo for the 67. Jeff put lots of work into the car before a bought it back.

First photo is Jeff driving when it was a 68, next photo is me at a division race a few years back.

The 69 Shelby looks very cool.

Thanks for posting the photos. Was it a 68 CJ car to start with? Your red Shelby is one of my favorite stockers.

Thanks for the kind words, It is an original 68 Cobra Jet car, I bought it from a guy in Ohio back in 87. The car was raced most of its life, I was the third owner.

I guess the car should be restored, but I'm having to much fun racing it. You guys did a great job on the 69, and I know how much work it takes. Being you will have the only 69 Shelby stocker, I think it was well worth it.

Thanks.

I wouldn't restore it. The car looks and runs too good for that.

It was Alex Denysenko's idea to turn it into a Shelby clone.

I think you need to come up with a dummy exhaust exit casting....the ultimate finishing touch to the rear valence - in your spare time of course!! ;)
