I was just drawing a blank on that one.
Looking at that picture again, it looks like that might be Bob Thompson in the middle behind the car. ..{plus it looks like a yellow car behind the Vette}

P.S. If this is indeed James Antonette in the left lane, then can I presume this is the same Camaro he repainted yellow with red letters that read "Yellow Fever" on its doors?

Thanks for the old photo of my Schmidts sponsored D/MP Corvette. Believe it or not, the car is still running the streets of Warwick RI, Blown small block and completely restored/Pro Street style by "Benjy Big Block" Enrico Carnavalle.........Still a mean machine!

I have the original photo. The camaro belonged to my dad. We also have that run on Super 8 film.

Does anyone have any pictures of Joe Spino's 67 CamaroSS/RS modie
fied Production car. It was red and ran w white wall tires on the front. Ran in the New Jersey northeast region. He just turned 73 and we'd like to find some cool old shots for him.

There's a mix of classes here, but mostly door cars with plenty of modified production and gassers in that mix.

Well, a LOT of pics no longer show. And, of those that still do, I didn't see a single Pontiac.

There were a few Pontiac M/P & Gasser cars.

Some of the FX Pontiacs ran M/P.

Gay Pontiac & Arnie Beswick ran some Gassers.

There were also some other GTO Gassers.

I think the Pontiac Gassers mostly just did booked-in match-race deals.

Some of the Gassers evolved into "Funny Cars". I actually don't know how to tell the difference in some of the early Pontiac Gassers & Funny Cars.

I suppose Arnie Beswick is the most well known Pontiac powered Funny Car racer. During his career, he raced just about every class, with some sort of Pontiac powered car.

"...Arnie was credited the first nine-second funny car run. The "Tameless Tiger" was rebuilt to be much lighter than when it first raced in super stock. Beswick later went 8.30s with the car!..."

What ever happened to the old Corvettes that Tim McDonald, Wendell Beveridge and Joe Winblad raced in Ohio during the 1970's?

It is nice to see that the Ault&James '63 Vette was restored. I would like to see these cars running with the nostalgia Pro Stock cars that they had at Norwalk in the future.
