The black '55 wagon...SS/O #5578...is that last photo a fairly recent one? Anybody know how fast he is? Don't recall ever seeing a wagon in O ...can't he make P?

Earl Britt's Corvette was on display at Billion Chevrolet in Sioux Falls, SD today.

The car is in town for the Automania event in downtown Sioux Falls Friday night 6/29/12.

It will be on display in the Midwest Class Racers booth.

This car is cool!

I like the old photo's from Thunnder Valley Dragway, i would like to see some old photo's of the Koppain cars and photos of a orange '69 camaro convertable when Jack Peterson raced it,he's my cousin.

Mcink, thank's for posting the photo's of Jack's race cars, photo's of the orange 69 camaro are when the famous BK ran it. When Jack raced it was J/SA 5787. Thanks again love the old photo's.:):):)

The corvette photo that iam looking for is of Verlin Sunde's is the one that he raced in 1983 at Thunder Valley's divison 5 points meet, as far as the very famous BK's chevelle it was white with black interior. If anybody has photos from the 1982 or 1983 points races from thunder valley please post, i have some but there are not very good.

Is it the 71 vette your looking for,I believe Norm Voss bought it off Verlyn, is it not the one Jack Briner runs now in C,D. John gsa612

Yes that is the one iam looking for '71 corvette of Mr Sunde's i have a photo of it but it's very blurrie. Thanks for the help.:):)

I was just talking to Norm Voss at the GoodGuys Show in Des Moines. He said he sold his 71 vette to Jack. Must be the same one Jack has now. I think Norm said it was originally the Glass Slipper car of Frank Ham. Norm won the Musclecar of the Show at the Des Moines GoodGuys event with his 70 Ram Air IV Judge. Purchased it new.

I'm pretty sure Verlyn also raced the Vette I posted a pic of, but must have been in the early 70's.

Early 80's 82-83. got an old Q sheet from bir 87 shows Norm running it, hard to believe that was 25 years ago. gsa612

Just a random qustion,will Thunder Valley Dragway ever go back to being a NHRA track? Mcink please post some more of the old photos love seeing them.:):)

doubtful on the NHRA deal in the future.

NHRA has minimum track standards, i.e., guard rails, shut down area, etc, and those upgrades don't appear to be in the cards at all.

We just need to enjoy it as is, and hope it continues to be open for a long time to come.

The Frank Ham pic was taken by Robert and Gwen Ayers at Suffolk, VA. The Sunde pic is from Super Chevy magazine. Not sure if it's the one I scanned or not.

I seen a few that mom or dad took years ago on the earlier pages. I know we have some but I will have to see if I can ever get them scanned. Sad but I think mom took more pics of other cars than she ever did of the orange peeler or reed's cuda dad drove.

I can't believe no one commented on the little A/Gaser of Jerry Hemmingson. Anyone that is a stick shift racer should know who he is and have dealings with his company. Lots of miles in the years since that picture was shot. Nice pictures... brings back memories of the days gone by, by....

Cool picture! Last I knew the car was in Texas? When my Dad had it, it ran a 440 six pack SS/GA. It was an original V code car. High 9's to low 10's.
