I don't think you want hadtobethere showing you how to do burnouts. You'll get this for a teaching.

Al, you learned well years ago...wow about 40 or so years ago, I guess time does fly, anyway, you know those newer shoes need a lot less heat than I would give them..LOL

and you Mikey, I see you must have cleaned your shorts since one of your last wheel stands, but I still can teach you, if you want to learn???...keeping things clean is good for all.

Ah huh, now what was I doing? oh ya sunshine, 80 degrees, 8% humidity back in the pool

hadtobethere. . . Don't forget your viagra.

If you get the sniffles, I'm sure those whitey tighties will do just fine. Talk about racing stripe.

I'm waiting for Old Injun to pipe in his 2 cents. . .?

Came looking for you when I was in town ( was going to take you to the Tea Steak House and educate you ) I was told you went into hiding while I was there ! Your dad and I changed a few things on your car. You will need those clean underwear the next time out with the car.

Have been out a couple of times and made some changes. Last weekend was the Midwest Class Racers event at my home track, Thunder Valley Dragway in Marion South Dakota. Went out in the first round both Sat. and Sun., but had a ball. :)

Re: Nova stocker project.

Glenn, the power exactly matched the et's. Other than a change of headers for one pull, we didn't do any work....the plan was just to find out where it was. Disassembly showed some areas for possible improvements, so we'll go from there. -Al

I noticed during the process of building you changed from running valve cover breathers on each valve cover to running dual pcv vacuum lines.........can you explain the reasoning behind that ???? Pros or cons ???

Rusty, it was actually the other way around. I started out with the dual PCV's with Volvo check valves inline. By mid season, the cylinder leakage had gotten to the point that there was too much pressure in the crankcase....that's when the valve cover breathers went on. -Al

Monday was 'dyno day' with the freshened up motor. Sorry for the out of focus. Jason from Victory Engines attends to some details before we fire it to break in the cam and lifters.

Not much new to add. We decided the rocker geometry could be improved a bit, so a new set of Trend pushrods were ordered and plopped in. Will drop it back in over the next couple of weeks. Spring can't get here quick enough!

OLD INJUN: The Corvette is still here, as of this morning. The only change is that now the passengers side door is flappin' in the breeze. :(

Motor in the Nova thinks it's working at that famous burger place in your neck of the woods.....In-N-Out. :) Some.....errrr....adjustments are needed so new headers will be happy, happy, happy.

Stay thirsty, my friend. ;)

Re: Nova stocker project.

A new set of headers meant changing the steering box out for an early Camaro unit.

Matt and Jason at Victory Engines managed to breathe some new life into it. Initial runs were in 3600-3800 air (corrected).
