Q - What is happening with photos # 116 and #117?

A - Out with the mock up/construction block and in with the Super Engine!

Keep a close eye on the progress. The logo will go on at any time the movement comes on me.

These photos are teasers with the cover sheet still on. The second logo goes in the bad cover

I approve of this logo :)

When I get the graphics stage, I'm going to have Michael do the work for my Mustang, "Optimist Prime".

Dale,

Michael is a good idea and design person, PLUS, a racer and promoter :) He has done several projects for me.

Build looks great. Looking at the picture of the engine bay I see the brake lines from the master cylinder running near the bracket for the midplate. I think the brake lines need to be on the outside of the frame rail or run through a steel tube in the bell housing area. I would check the rule on that.

Mike, good eye and good catch. I agree it needs some protection and will do.

A few updates. Work is coming along steady these days. The last 2 - 3 weeks I have worked on a number of small items that take time, are important, yet do not show much progress like the big items do. When working the small stuff it is important to remember that ALL systems, ALL items are important.

First photo shows rear of bed items roughed in and the beginning of wiring runs. At the far right notice a ground terminal strip. A handy item to ground all components in the rear section. The strip is connect directly to battery negative with a 10 gauge lead. All rear component grounds branch out from there.

Second photo shows front motor plate bracket

Third photo is mid plate tab.

Larry, how do you intend to pull the engine when the motor plate is trapped by the forward cage bars?

Looks like with that odd setup you'll be forced to remove the motorplate from the engine to remove & install the engine.

Would be more user friendly to have the motor plate be narrower than the forward engine bars so the engine could be lifted out with the motor plate and accessories still bolted to the engine.
