The word in our camp came down that there was only ONE of our sixsome who had not fulfilled his duty at the grill... So.Joe was up today for grilling lunch..'course he USED LARRY'S grill so this time, may not be sufficient for his actual turn at the grill. California here we come tomorrow..

Folks, I called Bobby Warren this afternoon. He is out of ICU, but in a regular room now . I was just so happy when he answered. He is VERY tired of being in the hospital and was glad to hear what was going on here in Vegas. The last time we were here (2010) Bobby was with us.. Good times.. Wish he was with us now..Keep the prayers going for Bobby and his recovery. Alice

Alice thanks for the info on Bobby. He is in our prayers. Joe should not have had a problem cooking . He had a great mentor.

Even though we aren't racing anymore, I've been following your trek across the country which is one we never got to with the race car. Your photos and messages are great. The coffee pot problem and generator problems made me think of a solution many of you might want to carry along. We've always had a stove top percolator along in case we needed a substitute which we had to use several times on our road trip to Alaska from Tampa when we were in parks that didn't want you to start generators until 7 or 8AM or at all. Then I found Camping World carries a 12volt coffee maker for $30 with a 7 ft cord. Haven't used it yet, but it's tucked away in the RV just in case. Those darn generators decide to quit just when you need them as you know.

Don't mean to mess up your racing thread, and the administrator may pull this, but I thought it was appropriate seeing as how some of your group had generator and coffee maker problems.

Sue,

I would sure like to hear about that trip to Alaska. I will stop by your pit next time I see you at the races.

We're here! We're here! Actually, we have been here since 2 or so this afternoon. We left Vegas about 6:20 and after heavy traffic thru town, had a nice drive here. We stopped at Peggy Sue's for breakfast or lunch, whichever you wanted, and then drove on in. It was an uneventful trip, which was good! This afternoon we spent time catching up with our good friends, Mike and Paula Cotten. Then went to House of Wings for dinner. Now we are back at the track and going to try to get caught up on a little sleep since we left so early this morning.

I took a few pics that I will post a little later.
