Re: H-I-J '76 Nova re-fit.

Sleep is sooo overrated! Another one in the books today with another to follow tomorrow. Autumn and her sister went to the engine shop today and loaded our parts left behind, cleaned tools and the dyno room. I had a couple things to get going on the motorhome then we worked in and on the bellhousing, fortunately it looks as if the linkage will work, hopefully we'll test that theory tomorrow. Painting is highly overated and super time consuming.

I don't know your buddy but I I'm sure there are others here who would like to see those results too. Some of them have been offering you help for two years and 100 pages.
So, do whatever you feel is right here..I guess you already have.

Here's one who posted his. No secrets here.

I don't know what it should be or what to expect for this combo but it made 390.

It sure would be nice to see the flow test followed by the dyno data. Very curious to look at at the oil pressure graph as well. For me its always nice to have some idea of the power different combinations make. I look forward to the track testing. Your daughter is no quitter.

I don't even have a dyno sheet, there's nothing really here to make any extrordinary power, no scraper, no windage tray, lots of oil pressure. It runs, it's not complicated and there's room to grow. We'll go to the track and have some fun then we'll start building upon what we have or start a new one and spend some real dyno time with it.

390HP if the car works right should put you comfortably under the index for H I or J.

Re: H-I-J '76 Nova re-fit.

Been a couple days, had some issues with clutch stuff, everything is tight in the bell so had to change some things around and re-do linkages. Lots of little issues, broken alternator bracket, valve cover woes etc. 3 steps forward and 2 back mean we're making forward progress.

Best wishes on the continued success of your project.Nothing like an involved daughter to motivate a guy to work this hard. Hoping and praying for the rest of this project to go problem free from now on. You guys need some grade points about now!!

Sorry about a lack of updates, we were lucky enough to get in, parked, paperwork and stickers on today in Indy. We were #170 in stacking, when we went in the gate it had taken 6 hours to get to us and #520 had just come in the gate to stack. Tomorrow we'll see if it will go down the track and tomorrow night I'll try to get my computer out so I can get some pictures up.

Todd & Autumn -

I think you have half the Stock/SS racers in the country pulling for you, with me especially. I hope all goes well, you have a great time and you experience the success due for all the hard work you have done. Enjoy!!

We're having too much fun here at Indy! Performance is a bit lacking but oh well. We've had a steady stream of ClassRacer well wishers come see us and it's been awesome. Here's a video of our second run (first one wasn't super haha)

Todd & Autumn, I think .633 under with that package with little time to "tweek" is pretty awesome. You 2 are to be commended for all your efforts. Good luck with class and hope you can make the field. The video was great also. Good luck this weekend. There are many folks rooting for you both.

OOPS! I totally mis- read the .633 under. But the sentiment remains the same. I apologize to all the readers and followers if I've caused any confusion. Todd and Autumn, you guys rock.
Sorry everyone. I should get another cup of coffee to assist my vision this early in the morning.

Just getting to Indy no matter how you do is a big reward for all your hard work and you will also get some great help sorting things out.
Autumn gets seat time and better each run.
Good Luck in class!!!

Todd Autumn and all, a big AWESOME JOB - well done!
Gosh, after staying with your build, trials, and issues through all of this build, I almost feel like a proud Papa watching that video.
Carry on, guys. Enjoy the Indy experience.

That's great. Proud papa, great little daughter. Racing at Indy,no less. Hope you guys have a great weekend and a great trip home. Sounds like it's not a real great time to be in Florida right now, anyway. Be safe, it's been great watching your project unfold. You certainly have all the support from your Classracer family.
