I don't believe that the thread has gotten off-topic. I DO believe that it's a Hot-Button topic. I also believe that we Christians are having an Ideology that we totally dis-agree with shoved down our throats! And I can't believe that this thread hasn't been shut down.

The Westboro group is gone. Their fearless leader died and the whole thing fell apart. They speak for no one I ever met.In fact, I had forgotten about that bunch.Even though opinion is protected speech, I think disrupting a funeral or a worship service is illegal.The maddening thing is that good men laid their lives
on the line to preserve their freedoms,too. I feel that the problem with this whole thing revolves more around politics. Any time that politics rears its ugly head,it seems polarization and personal destruction is the result-be it religious politics, office politics, family politics, national politics or anything else.

Very exhaustive list put together by Chuck. Not a pretty picture. One incident accidentally left off is the Umpqua Community College shooting in Roseburg,Oregon,where the victims were deliberately selected because they were Christians. Nice people out there,aren't they?
