First time I've seen a photo of a white G & R Pinto.

Here's how it looked not long after new owner Larry Sengstack rebodied it into a 1971 Mustang.

(Hey buddy...do you mind?)

Forty-two years later and these cars still don't look "dated." By that I mean, these cars would
not seem out of place if seen in the staging lanes at your local track, especially Bob Riffle's
Rod Shop car. Compare these 1973 cars with drag cars just ten years earlier or even five.
Quite a difference. It just goes to show you how far ahead of the times these Pro Stockers
really were when they appeared on the scene and the mind-blowing, awesome impact they
had on drag racing fans from that era. It sure did on me.

Thank you all for the great pictures especially from NTR. My brother, sister and I grew up at that track and have special memories of Pro Stock in it's early days. What a great era it was. Craig

Nowhere in the add does it state that this the former Yuill Bros Monza. Unless there was a second Monza, the real original Yuill Bros car has been up here in the NW for a number of years now running as a Super/Pro car.
I'll admit the car on RJ has a very authentic looking paint scheme, but I'm thinking its a tribute car. Elsewhere in this thread are pics of the real car currently. You can compare the difference in the rear wheelwells by looking at posts #23 from then and #26 from now. The wheelwells on the RJ car are different. My 2 cents.

You're welcome, Craig. However, they're not my photos. You can see more pix here from the 1973 Springnationals:

Yep, great era (in my mind the greatest) it sure was.
