Hey PC, I seen this photo that you posted in another thread, so I thought I'd add it to the 1969 427 Chevelle thread instead...Also there was another 1969 427 Yenko Chevelle that recently sold at auction this past spring for $260,000. - HM.

What Motion Performance (Baldwin Chevrolet) is take a 69' SS396
Chevelle, and turn it into a SS427,,,,,,,
The 'Motion' plan was to install a L-72 427/425HP with a Holley 950 CFM 3-Barrell
into the Chevelle...........

Three barrel is not tri-power.

If I remember it was a Holley with a single, very wide open secondary.

The carb sat in about a 30 degree "twist" on the big block intake I remember.

Paul, do you know Rob Clary? Yenco Super Cars club and forum. He has a few of the Camaro's and Chevelles. They race then in pure stock. They fly with stock bias tires! Very cool real muscle cars.

Rob & his father Tom started Yenko.net and hold a reunion each yr to race some of these rare Supercars. It's a great website that highlights some of the Harrell, Motion, Gibb, Yenko, Dana, Scuncio, Nickey as well as other dealers & performance builders from the era.

Check out these rare Bowties.....http://www.yenko.net/features/featurecars.htm

For those too young to know what a 950 CFM Holley 3 Barrel looks like:

So....who had the intake with the twisted mounting for the carb and why was it situated like that?
I only remember seeing them on big block Chevys.

Edelbrock, the Scorpion (I think, if I remember correctly) the Tarantula series.

It was supposed to equalize the runner lengths from what I understand, and orient the throttle bores correctly with the intake runners.
