Couple more parts, firewall switch panel, I love these things, you just plug the cable into the master panel and off you go. And on the advice of the forum, this new electric water pump.

Re: H-I-J '76 Nova re-fit.

Well I'm a little aggravated in that we are late to go into paint and they still can't take it so this isn't helping my timeline at all. Got a few minor things worked on this past weekend but nothing to speak of, next weekend we're going to the D2 banquet. We'll hit it again after that.

Good luck I always have dreaded dealing with the paint shop. I hope it works out. I have really enjoyed watching this come along.

Re: H-I-J '76 Nova re-fit.

Things may be looking up, painter said he'll be ready this week so it's time to get back at it! Stripped the fenders, hatch, hood and got them all in sealer. Sanded prepped and got the cage in sealer too. Even though we're now 3+ weeks behind, I'm glad we won't see the car for a few weeks, gives us a chance to work on the engine and trans now.

This is a great build / refresh thread, thanks for taking us along. Really helps keep the interest level up when the snow keeps coming and it is freezing outside here.
Looking forward to engine refreshening segment.

Honestly guys, I'm beyond frustrated. Still in paint, I'm going down there tomorrow to start throwing a fit.

Todd , if you think its been to long show up daily and see what progress each day begins. It will happen without throwing a fit, if he knows he will see you daily it will get done .... LOL:D

Re: H-I-J '76 Nova re-fit.

This paint deal reminds me of a class racer who had a car at his painter for months... Final he said "I''m coming to get it now " A few days later he went to pick it up and it was done, a really nice job, but it was the wrong color...
The painter said no need to pay me, sad story not a happy ending......

I agree. "Out of sight, out of mind". "Squeaky wheel gets the grease". Blah, blah, blah...

As fast as you work, this must be driving you crazy.

I've been there a few times this week and looks to be some progress, they have actually started working on it, not much, but it's a start. I'll be stopping by next Monday too. I have a pile of parts that need to be powdercoated black, I'll be starting that next Tuesday seeings as they're finally moving.

Two nice little suprises today, went to the body shop and they were actually doing body work. It was so nice to see. 2nd, got a message saying the headers were done.

Who did the headers?

Re: H-I-J '76 Nova re-fit.

Glenn, Darren Davis built them, I called a few people and just couldn't justify $3500+ for Gucci stocker headers on a low $$$ car.
