Yes two different cars. Caster’s car was a automatic bought from Gas Ronda raced by Caster then sold to Lloyd Bray. Turley’s car was a 4 speed bought by the Potior bros. driven by Ken Mclellan later bought by Ken and sold to Turley. Story is Ken drove it from Indiana to west Texas after they purchased it. Turley raced it from 69-72 then sold it to local racer Phil Rymer later sold to local racer Mark Armstrong who sold it in the late 80’s and it became the white car. In 68 Caster was div. 4 points champ while Ken still owned his car. Luckily I drive better than I talk or write.

A recent owner of this car purchased it in 1988 from Lloyd Bray and D.G. Gilliam of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. After the 1968 Winternationals, Leo Roy purchased the car for $1.00. Leo drove it to the Division 4 championship in 1970. Lloyd Bray and D. G. Gilliam purchased it in 1971 and over the course of the next 17 years they set the following NHRA national records: |

I find it strange that Roger Caster and Leo Roy were both from Austin and had cobra jets reported to be sold to Lloyd Bray.

The championship info is incorrect so maybe that's not all. Could be it was Ronda-Caster-Leo -Bray. Some questions can only be answered by voices that can no longer be heard.
