Justins Ride

Just letting everyone know that a couple of Justins Freinds got a plan together a couple of months ago,When we found out about Justin having to have 2 kidney surgeries we came up with a plan. The plan was thought up by Shawn Agnew a friend of Justins in Erie Ill with the help of me ( Rod Cady) ,Travis Cox Marcus Bush,Alan Bush Mike Rosenbohm and Mark Rosenbohm we stole his car when he went in for his second surgery,we brought it back to my shop in Erie and stared work on it. in the last 2 weeks we striped the car down to bare metal and repainted the car, completely rewired it, installed new lexan windows ,new throttle linkage, new fiberglass doors, hood, bumpers, and scoop, all the fiberglass parts were donated by Robert Mortenson from GLASSTEX ,Mike Coughlin from JEGS donated new msd 7al3,dedenbear relay center, painless switch panel and various other odds and ends, Scott Ryder from Weld Wheels donated a new set of Pro star rims ,Dan Driscoll of skys the limit graphics donated all the graphics, Anthony Layne of Layne automotive and speed donated aluminum for the door panels,we had various automotive shops donate paint and supplies. On saturday we tricked Justin into coming to my shop he thought is was my 40th birthday party , when we got him here we surprized him with his car the look on his face was priceless and worth all the long hours of work that the whole crew put into it, I wanted to put a picture on here but i cant get it figured out so i sent one to Lee Lones hoping he can get it posted . Thank you for your time for reading this i know it was a long post and i hope i didnt miss anybody that helped out Rod Cady SST 3447

To have friends like y’all …………..PRICELESS!

Stand up and take a bow folks.

I don’t know Justin personally but would like to wish him a full and speedy recovery.

The car? ……………..”BITCHIN ! ”………….to say the very least.

Stories like this are the ones that should make the news .….sad part is that most times they don’t.

Nice to hear and know there are kind hearted folks like you all around.

Tip of the cap to all of you.

Get well Justin

That is one of the coolest things anyone could do for a friend . I'm sure he was speechless . There is nothing better you could have done better for a fellow racer and friend that is going through a hardship such as his . Get well Justin and go win one for your buddies !

Re: Justins Ride

Awesome, just amazing. It is absolutely stunning. You'd hardly know it's the same car. But, did they save Uncle Mike's preemo custom pink flames on the trunk lid? We'll miss the flames, and the short-nap roller paint job.
I'd like to personally thank the guys at Glasstek for donating the most desperately needed new equipment: The HATS! Whew! What a relief! NOW can we ditch the grungy old ones? Or did walk away on their own when the new ones showed up? ;)

See you in Cordova
[hmm... maybe I can get that metallic blue for my nails by then...]

I am sorry you guys, I know I replied to this post once, but I have to tell ya, I cant stop thinking about it.
This car looks SO good and I cant get over how AWSOME you guys are for doing that. Also to all of the people and companies that donated parts. It is great Justin has so many people that care about, and are thinking about him.
I wish you guys nothing but the best!

Re: Justins Ride

If anyone begins to ponder why they race, travel, spend all this $$, this is once again a reminder of whom we surround ourselves with at these events. I can't wait to see Justin and his new ride back in action.

You'll be getting many thumbs up down the highway with that bad boy.

Re: Justins Ride

Wow! I just wanted to let everyone know how truly grateful I am for this whole deal. After going through what I have over the last 6 months, I can't think of anything cooler that could have put a smile that big on my face. Just awesome. . .and anyone who says drag racers aren't a second family is sadly mistaken. My biggest thanks goes out to Rod Cady, Shawn and Josh Agnew, Alan and Marcus Bush, Travis Cox, Robert Mortensen @ Glasstek, Mike Coughlin @ Jegs, Scott Ryder @ Weld Wheels, and all others who helped make this possible. You guys are simply amazing. Seeyou all at Cordova. . .
