Hey Mopar Super Stock guys, what brand converter do you guys use?
 

Hey guys we are in the process of shopping for a new converter after having issues with another converter company. I don't want to bad mouth the company because they've done great work for other people, we just did have the same luck and ended up with $500 worth of damage plus loosing a trans case. We believe that the converter malfunctioned causing a vibration that lead to a rear clutch drum shattering but the company believed otherwise and sad nothing was wrong with the converter. So they are sending us our money back and we have to go converter shopping again. We have a bracket car that is more similiar in chassis and power to a Super Stock car so we were just wondering what brand converters you guys use? We would really appreciate the help, thanks.

I don't run a super stock car,but we have been Turbo Action customers for 31 years.

Transmission Specialist sprageless in a 68 dart bracket car runs 10.30's (hot rod 10.90) 1.42 in 60 129mph 3125 plus the driver.440 .060 over. 4 link 590 hp 5000 stall. work great.

ATI in my stocker it works great.

For Mopar stuff, Frank Lupo at Dynamic is very good.
ATI stuff is dependable and fast also.
Lenny, at Ultimate Converters has a lot of Mopar experience too.

Just buy one of each! LOL!!!!!

In my bracket car, big block 64 B body TurboAction, Great!,,In my SS/CA Hemi car ATI, Excellant, I my C/SA RR, ATI, Excellant. Never a problem, with any of these! ..........John Lang

We have uses Turbo Action converters and valve bodies since the mid 70s.

Always got good parts and good service.

A/SA '64 Max wedge, been running Turbo Action since 1977....never a problem. Dynamic makes a good one too.

Tell ya what........ I've owned and driven a couple of good BB Mopars over the years, and Lenny, who was at Dynamic at the time and now has Ultimate Converters, put both cars on the money on the first try........ I'd give him a shot.........

Paul Prect has got the right converter.
Ed Alessi started in the performance industry 30 years ago with a company named Vitar Engineering. In 1980 he founded his own company Select Performance Inc Eddie Sr. and Jr. built me a 904 and converter after my Turbo action trans exploded no fault of theirs but I picked up 4.5 tenths of wheel standing power and my son won the E town championship with a Select converter and went 2.5 tenths quicker. Give them a call.
