Lets here some stories of any old stockers, super-stockers or modifieds that you may have from various dragstrips across the country from the 60's & 70's...also post any old photo's if you have anything.

Junior Stockers,,,,,,,,,,

Always related that to the 55 thru 57 Chevy's,,,,as they were everywhere.

Anything with an 11.00 Weight-to-Horsepower factor and above.

In 1967, Car Life Magazine stated that a Junior Stocker was
D/S and above, and could be a car driven to the dragstrip.

Further stating that A/S was the new 'Top Stock',
B/S and C/S was for 'the Detroit factory street-type musclecars', ie; GTO, 4-4-2 and GTX.

WHERE do you guys get this STUFF???? Just when I thought I've seen EVERY archival photo from the 'ol days...you guys go to the "vault" and get some more!!!

I'm NOT COMPLAINING....many "new" photos here...that I've NEVER seen before!

Keep 'em coming!!! Oh, if we could only "go back"...I'd be FIRST in line!

Dennis, not sure about the wagon but they have a real nice '57 sedan bracket car if I remember correctly. They live the next town over.

A 1966 Chevrolet Bel Air, Station Wagon
'The Pied Piper',,,,,,427/425 HP, 4-Speed

1966 = C/S
1967 = B/S
1968 = D/S

Not too many of these produced,,,,,,
Though exact production numbers are not available, those in the know say less than 10.

And the conventional 1966 Biscayne 427/425, 4-Speed
'Bis-Kwik' which ran in;

1966 = B/S
1967 = A/S
1968 = C/S or 3/DS (AHRA)
