I remember Charles back in the day, great guy. I think his son's had a shop on Englishtown Rd where Charlie DeFrancisco used to live.

I had a Stocker 67 bigblock out of Truppi's a year after Agaman had the first bas *** SS 454 vette that he won the world champ deal with back than . Did not look to much at the Mods.

You're welcome. I was trying to locate the above photo in my files but couldn't find it (with spending a lot of time!).

Here's a color shot of the Dog Gone Vette (on the left) in the pits at Raceway Park, Englishtown, NJ sometime in the Spring of 1971. It was a (presumably original) 427/435 hp big-block car before it met its untimely demise.

M68, I didn't notice the orange Corvette on the left until I reread your comments you posted...do you or anyone else have any better pics of this one called the 'Dog Gone Vette'...anyone here know if this car was scrapped or fixed.

I was there the day the vette crashed into the tower,I seem to remember it hit Jerry Stein`s red car first!
Also I remember the driver being Timmy Smith not Randy but I could be wrong 1971 was after all a few year`s ago! lol, I remember the car up against the tower with the back tires spinning and I latter heard someone yanked the coil wire to kill it.
I am not sure if that car was fixed or they built another one but I remember another corvette stocker that had Katic and Keenan on the side of it.

Bernie's car was my favorite corvette super stocker. The Astoria Chas 67 and the Bo Laws 67 B/ sports were two other favorites of mine. What ever happened to Bernie's 71?

Moose,,, I can help with one of the photos, since I took it,,, the one with the Corvette sitting next to the Parnelli Jones van was taken at Ontario Motor Speedway in October 1975 at the NHRA World Finals.( The race where Big Daddy went 5.63 at 250.69) This was taken down by the garages where the Pro Stock cars were located for that event. Larry Lombardo is in the golf cart,,I don't recall who was driving, but it wasn't Jenkins, still when these guys pulled up, everybody stopped what they were doing to talk to them. I remember seeing Agaman's car in all the magazines and National Dragster, so I had to snap a shot of it. There were many east coast racers at this race I'd never seen before, like Jack Mullins and Bernie ,among others. The good 'ol days!
