Re: Lyn Laperriere-get well
Has anyone gotten any updates on Lyn's condition? I shudder every time I hear the death toll has risen due to this horrible situation. Prayers for everyone who's been so unfortunate to have been touched by it.

Re: Lyn Laperriere-get well
I spoke with Lyn last evening. Day 16 in the hospital. He developed sensitivity to Amphotericin B, the first line drug for Aspergillus, so he is receiving Posaconazole which is not as effective. He is ambulating a little but he is weak and having some dizzy spells along with the headache associated with meningitis. His appetite is poor but he is resting better. 3 steps forward and 2 back. I am certain his spirits are better today after the Tigers' win over the A's to move on to the second round. He and Penny certainly appreciate all the thoughts, prayers, and well wishes.
Thanks, Ty |

Condolences to the family, I am sure that I speak for all of the "Can Am"
racers when I say not only was Lyn a fierce competitor, he was also a good friend to so many super stock racers. I can vision him right now cruising the pits on his cart, saying hi to everyone. He was a true gentleman. Lorraine and I send our deepest thoughts to the family. Venice Perno SS/CS |
