Race 2 & 3 June 8th & 9th at Lebanon Valley

All ASRA members and all stock and super stock racers are welcome to join us this weekend for our Lebanon "double". Great to be able to hold these 2 races the weekend before the LODRS race.

Notes for this weekend

The track gate in front is open 24 hrs and you can get in and pit. You just need to walk or ride down to the back gate in the morning to pay your entry or pit pass. This is a great option to have, please don't abuse it. I suspect many will arrive on friday.

After our races you may leave your trailer or rig at Lebanon for the week for next weeks lodrs . It is your risk certainly, and check with the track to make sure you are pitted in the correct area for the lodrs event. This also is a nice option to have, thanks to the LV management for allowing us to do this.

In this day and electronic age we all look at the weather 1 , sometimes 2 weeks ahead, the ASRA board members get many questions when there are weather issues. Our policy has not changed , it is the tracks call, not ours. We always want to complete a race on it's scheduled date, rescheduling is always a compromise and very difficult. There have been some races when many have stayed home and we ran a race, sometimes what seems like a sure rainout just goes around us be it at Lebanon or New England. We know it is expensive to travel, but sometimes mother nature doesn't cooperate with us. Many racers know someone who is at the track the day before and can give them a call to get an idea what it looks like. We had fantastic weather at our first event, let hope for more of the same

See You there

From what i see, there will not be much to report on until Saturday morning. I would suggest that you keep an eye on the Lebanon website, (dragway.com) , also they have a rainout messaging service that will message your cell if it washes out , you signup for it, it is on the website. you are welcome to call me after 6 am 413 427 5167, ,,,don't know what time I will see someone from the track, but it will probably be 7am or so.

see you there

Steve and Randy Broadbent are out there now. They arrived about hour ago. Randy should be able to post something in the morning. I'll text him to let him know. Had all intentions of leaving today as well, but I’ve been battling a strong stomach bug for the last few days. Doctors did blood work today and thinks I have salmonella poisoning, so I think I’ll sit this one out literally !!!!!! Good luck to everyone this weekend

5 AM Saturday morning. I am at the track. It stopped raining here around 3:30. Place is soaked , but no rain coming down at this time. Like Dave said, check the valleys web site for more details as things could change by the minute. Gary

Round 1 is in the books, 66 cars , there are alot of cars(319) here and it will be late I expect. It is going smoothly so far, not much downtime, just alot of cars to run. 1st rd was around at around 6

Mike Farrell was the #1 qualifier,(we qualify and ladder off reaction time)

There is a $100 bounty on Gregg Southerland and he is still in
