alternator worth e.t. ?
 

any feed back on a working alternator and hot battery in a stocker being worth some e.t.. after talking to some people at memphis i have replaced both on my camero hoping to pick up a litle before dallas points race.engine in the car is very outdated so trying to pick up all i can with bolt on's and go into engine this winter..thanks for any help...b.t

thanks for the info , got a moroso can this week as well as light starter,alternator and battery the engine has 60 runs on it now but was freshened in 2000 by woodrow .verne buchannan is a close friend and has helped me a ton on the car ,it was running 13.25 when i got it went 12:37 in good air at houston replaced cam,lifters and freshened heads before memphis and slowed down. the car went 4 tents quicker at a local track the week before so some thing took a dump.but let me tell ya the help from total strangers and friends we have made at the points races this year is is unbelivible-1 st class folks..won't be long before were quailifing better...b.t.

Bobby is this a late model Camaro with an electronic shifter? If so my belief would be the alternator will at the very least provide consistant power to all the electronics so they finction properly. If the electronic shifter is not functioning properly that could be worth a little. Just my $.02

yes on the dallas trip and the bbq grill is loaded ! big thanks again to Rod for all his help on saturday. my wife talked to the Ropers yesterday said they might come to but would stay and go on to belle rose if so.our weather has really been warm here so mowing season is wide open..see ya at da motor-plex...b.t.

Rod and I have been busy getting his motor freshened and getting the motorhome/trailer/racecar/pitbike/towtruck home and cleaned. We got his motor back today and plan to install it tomorrow. The racecar/trailer & bike still need cleaning. We will bring vension, chicken wings and the grill. You bring yourself, racecaretc. and your family. We'll have a great time. We plan to park next to Donnie & Paula again so find us and park close ya hear.

PS The grass is growing fast. We mowed the cementary last week. Start saving for that new motor and trans. With those new items I beleive you will open some eyes.
