We are here and parked on the pavement on the Pro side. When we came in, they asked if we were here for both weekends, including National next week. They are parking you in the round track if you want to not move for both weeks. We are going back home in between races, so we opted to park on the pavement closer. There appears to be lots here that came straight from Dallas.

We entered online and everything went seamless when we came in this afternoon. They just checked our passes on our phones and gave us our arm bands.

Weather is supposed to be great this week! Come on down (or up or over)!!

Well this seems to be clean-up and maintenance day! Larry is cleaning the trailer an I just cleaned the seats on the golf cart! The place is filling up today! Sky is overcast and about 70 degrees! Test and tune is happening now!

Today was a gorgeous day all day long. A little overcast and about low 70s. Test and tune is still going on tonight. I think you could have made as many runs as you would of liked today.

Tomorrow starts out at 8 with super street down the track first. I believe it will be broadcast so look for the post from Warren!!

Another beautiful day here in East St Louis! 90 cars made the first run. Not bad for having Great Bend run this weekend too. It is cool and fast! I haven’t seen a sheet yet. Giving them time to get everyone in right class.!

Interesting qualifying sheet and ladder on DRC. Number one qualifier never made a run and I think Ken is still in Tennessee. Qualifying time is 0.000 so now racer is -11.35 under index, I wonder what % that will be on the AHFS.

I spoke with a local racer and the local program here at the track is this: Pay at the gate, fill out card, hand it in, make run and receive paper time slip, repeat!

You just can't imagine how much more safer we feel.

A new day and a new race!! Another great day here! A little overcast and supposed to be warmer today! Everyone gets one qualifier and 1 round of eliminations today!

Well yesterday was fun! Got to the fifth round and then got beat by the winner, our neighbor, Jerry Bennett! So now he has bragging rights at the local breakfast place—Fristoes!!

Well super street is running so they will be calling soon!!

I've noticed that many of these threads seem to be tilted towards Stock, with lots less mention of SS.

Just watched a bit of DRTV coverage of today's action. In SS, Don Kennedy was #1 qualifier. Was the only car a sec under. Maybe some of the others stayed slower, on purpose ?

Anyhow, Don K. also won his 1st round.

Since DRC don't post the results for div races 'til late at night. I'd like to see qualifying sheets posted here, for both Stock AND Super Stock. Guessing I'm probably not the only one.

I like the pics too. But most of us already know what the cars look like. I like to know how they do during the race, BEFORE DRC posts anything, late at night or early the next morning.

There seem to usually be several members here, at most div races. Maybe a wife, girl friend, husband, child or crew member present at the race could make it a point to take time to post the sheets, so the rest of us will know what's happening.

Hey, it's just a suggestion. But, it would make some of the races more enjoyable, for those of us who can't be there. It would keep us from continually saying stuff like: "Wonder who showed up at that race ?", or "Wonder how qualifying went ?", or "Wonder who survived that round ?", OR ????? :confused:

Oldskool try looking at live timing during the race. It will show qualifying after the runs.

Yeah, I understand the old, as well as the sit & relax part. :)

It seems that, for many races, live timing does not work, at all. And, even when it does, there always seem to be lots of mistakes with the info there.:( I have sometimes reported one thing, because of what was on live timing, then had to go back & correct what I'd posted, after the DRC lists were posted.

Just thought that out of all the people at the races, maybe just one of 'em could post at least one Q-list for Stock & one for SS, maybe before dark that day. Hey, it ain't a life & death thang. Would just be nice.

Lots of young folks stay on either their phone or computer during most of the hours they are awake, every day. Some send dozens(maybe hundreds) of text messages per day. For those who know how to do it, posting a couple of Q-lists would probably not take more than a very few minutes of their day.

But hey, us fans will just have to take what we can get. Between live timing, DRTV, & DRC, we'll get by, I reckin. I remember visiting my grandparents when i was a kid. They had no electricity & no indoor plumbing. Had a wood stove & fireplace, kerosene lamps for light, a 2-holer outhouse, and you had to draw water from an open well, or haul it from a nearby creek. No radio, no TV, & certainly no cell phones or computers.

But, my Mom as well as her several brothers & sisters grew up just fine, without all the things we now have & take for granted. Yeah, especially in rural America, we've come a long way since the 1950's. :)

It is another beautiful day here in St Louis!! We won in a close race with Drew Whalen this morning! Now we have a heads up with Houston Raikes next round. Lots of rigs pulling out! The round track will stay full with everyone staying until the National event next week! We are going home and coming back since we are only 3 hours away!
