XS Lithium batteries

Want to take 30 pounds off the front of my Maverick. Has anyone out there had any problems with a XS brand lithium battery????

The part number I am looking at is XS PWR-S5-1200.

Thanks

The best lithium battery currently available is from Braille

Cotten was running a Lithium Pro brand battery. Not the XS Power brand.

I’ve had good results with Braille batteries.

for one, I did my research as well spoke to Heather Christian, Braile Motorsports. Two, they won't/can't ignite and three they are the brand most professional racers are using.

A LiFePO4 lithium battery is a good choice. It is more energy dense and unless abused, a very safe battery.

Who is going to be more straightforward about lithium battery brand rankings than the good people at Braille Motorsports?

I’m just a 12v guy myself, but just about everyone I pit with are using GoLithium. I’ve never heard of a single issue.

I ran Anti Gravity lithium battery sometimes and never had an issue. Had to use a lithium smart charger with it and mine was a 12v.
Had enough juice to adjust the valves and spin it until oil pressure builds then start it. Cool down too. Weighed 4 lbs versus 42 lbs red top Optima

I ran (2) XS S1600 Lithium batteries last year with great results. No issues at all, doesn't require a special charger.

Re: XS Lithium batteries

All lithium batteries including Lithium Iron Phosphate "LiFe" can go into Thermal Runaway!!!

These are the same type of LiFE batteries that are in every brand mentioned in this post.

The only way to prevent Thermal Runaway is if Battery has a Proper BMS (Battery Managment System) designed in.

If you are looking at using a battery that does not, you are literally playing with fire.

Does a battery with a BMS cost more? YES
Is the Battery design more complicated? YES
Are there more things that could be wrong with a BMS controlled battery vs. one with a bunch of cells wires together? YES, but the safety far out weights the alternative. Would you rather have a battery quit working or start your car on fire?

Our Powerlite batteries have a Full 4 Year Warranty. We have had Zero failures in the BMS/Battery in the last 3 years and 0.01% since release.

If you would like more info on one of the only SAFE batteries in motorsports please contact us.
