Tire Pressure Gauge
I need to replace my tire gauge without breaking the bank.
Used Moroso 89550 for many years. Any suggestions on a decent accurate good quality gauge? Also any input on the digital gauges? Thanks for the input. |
Re: Tire Pressure Gauge
Hi, Drew. I know people will scoff at this, but for years I have used cheapo stick pressure gauges. You can stick 'em in your pocket and they work just fine. I "calibrate" them by borrowing somebody's expensive gauge in the staging lanes to compare numbers. You need to find the low pressure gauge in an auto supply store.

Re: Tire Pressure Gauge
Ken,
Thanks for the input. Funny you mention this because I too have compared my race gauges with standard stick gauges and they are pretty darn close. Problem with that is at my age I need extra large Font, if you know what I mean. I have also compared my gauges with some fellow racers that have very expensive gauges and mine seem to be just as accurate. That being said I think I will stick with my ole reliable Moroso piece. Thanks again. |
Re: Tire Pressure Gauge
The cure for the "large font" need is to go to the dollar store and buy reading glasses. I drive with #1's, read small print with #2.75. I also have #2's for using the computer. For a dollar, they're the best deal around.

Good idea but way too much hardware to carry around!

Re: Tire Pressure Gauge
Tire gauges are the most overrated pieces of equipment in drag racing, in my opinion.
I have them and use them, but they are cheap ones. |
