Magnafuel bypass pump pressure

Magnafuel bypass pump on stock eliminator car, 7 psi at carb, 25 psi on gauge at bypass point on pump. System looks good, pump lower than fuel cell, etc. - 8 lines, aeromotive regulator, etc. Not sure what psi should be on the pump return. System flow checks good, gallon in 25 seconds with full tank but numbers get worse as fuel level gets lower in cell and effects et? I assume five gallons has a lot more head on the pump than a lesser amount but not run into this before. Any ideas?

I have all the exact same parts (new) going into my stocker. I sure am going to follow all the replies and see what you come up with. Everything checks out fine when your tank is full but things drop off as you’re using up fuel? Does the vent line check out okay?

The directions from Magnafuel says it can be mounted in any position and doesn’t have to be below the fuel outlet. I was going to lay it on it’s side in my trunk near the fuel cell.

I would try raising the fuel pump pressure to 35 or 40 pounds. I believe that is where they are supposed to be.

Do you have a #12 hose feed from the tank to the pump ? Both Magnafuel and Aeromotive are very specific about the feed size from the tank. I have seen two cars that were experiencing fuel problems with smaller feeds.
