Sounds like a lot of fun.

Why just 1/8 mile?

Re: 2015 NHRA - new class run it out no HP
What's the big deal. You can't get HP at any national open. If you want to set a 1/4 reacord the fall or Dutch classic is the place to do it.

Re: 2015 NHRA - new class run it out no HP
Not a fan. Every race everywhere should count for hp. Period. This is one of the reasons soft combos stay soft. Look how long some of the soft combos have held records. Part of why the ahfs is so slow to correct is so many instances where it doesn't apply.

So who's going to let 'em eat and open them up this weekend.
BTW wally and money on the line in all bracket classes as well as this is the national dragster challenge. |
Re: 2015 NHRA - new class run it out no HP
Max,
Since it's 1/8 mile and mother's day weekend, I doubt many will set records or attend for that matter as far as stock and super stock goes. Unless they allow 1/4 mile records to be set then run race in 1/8 mile format. A National open event should be 1/4 mile (NHRA does not run stock and super stock 1/8 mile and most racers like 1/4 mile that run stock and super stock). Also, a national open would be better set either at the end of the year in November or January or February when the weather is ideal for setting records. |
