New HP Factor Puts My Car Between Classes

I just saw that NHRA lowered the HP rating on my engine, by 10.
Nice, but a little awkward. I'm exactly half way between C & D. I can leave the car as is, and add 95 pounds of strategically placed ballast, to drop to D.... or, I can replace my beautiful recently restored front seat, in favour of racing seats, and eliminate the rear battery, and remain in C.

The car has always had a reaction / weight transfer deficiency, so in that respect, D sounds like a smarter move.
however, that means more weight. More weight means greater chance for parts breakage in this tank.

I do have a new clutch / lighter flywheel, and a lower gear transmission is on it's way.
Hoping this will help remedy my 60ft problem... without ballast !

Recommendations ? !

Sounds like you should test it both ways. If it were my deal, Id run D. Put the racing seats in, and add weight to the back. Glad you got some help, on the factor. Good luck this year, your car is one of my favorites.

Thank YOU, Todd.
You're probably right. The car could very well ET better, even though the trap speed would be down.

If you add weight, place it as close to the centerline of the rear axle as reasonable. It will be easier to integrate the additional weight into the dynamics of the car if placed there. IMHO
