Mason Dixon Stock/Super stock race

This race is on the Mason Dixon schedule for Oct 31-Nov1. Does anyone know information on who will be in charge of running the race? I definitely plan to go both days-great race to end the season.

Contacted to Mike and he is not sure he can pick it up.
Though thinking about it.

Would be happy to help.

Thought of a couple fun things
Have a Heads Up S/SS Challenge.

Where two racers competitively close would run Heads Up.
For example a A/SA against a SS/IA car.
or
Two racers Run on their Dial In.

Side Bet or Bragging Rights

What do your think?

The race was always successful as it was run in the past. Test and Tune Friday. Saturday Race and Sunday Race.

I wonder with the ECSSSA race at Atco this year on 11/1, and the report of non legal class cars at the race last year, if it will be as successful as in years past when Mike and his mom ran it. Being an hour from Atco and supporting Dave Leys races all year, I will be going to Atco as long as they run it.

Thinking about going to Atco myself. The track claims there going to run the race yet let there weekly racers claim classes that they could never fit In and never entered a ihra or NHRA race. Then again maybe I’ll claim the special addition Shelby made foxbody body and run pure stock.

I was there, but didn't take notice of any weekly racers entered in. I did notice the Post-2005 "Pure Stock" entries as well as the seemingly looser N/SS cars.

As far as N/SS cars go, integrating them as the Buckeye and Great Lakes groups do is fine, but they should adhere to NMCA rules like enforced by those groups. If you let the local N/SS group in, you open up a whole can of worms as their only requirements are age of vehicle, and no snorkel scoops.

My question was in regards to who will be running the race. Mike Carr no longer runs it due to health reasons.

I told Mike Carr I will be there to cover for him if he and Wendy can't make it. As for what cars will and will not be allowed to race; Mike always allowed Nostalgia Super Stock and the Pure Stock cars to race and I can accept that. But there was one car that I can recall from last year that was nothing more than a bracket car. If I am running things that car will not race with us. I know we want as many cars as possible, but we should hold true to what class racing is, otherwise we might just as well have a bracket race. I will admit that I am not schooled on all the classes that NHRA has now, nor all the classes that IHRA had before they closed up shop on class racing but there are enough knowledgeable racers to help me out on that. I will say this, if you have never raced an NHRA or IHRA race with your car, or you don't even know which class your car fits in or what the index for your class is, then it is not a Stock or Super Stock car. If you think you should be able to enter this race you better bring a rule book that defines what class your car is and what index it runs. And just to let you know, if you want to bitch about it, get it done on here because I am not going to this race to listen to people complain.
