ball joint part number for 67 Firebird

I am looking for a part number for a "low friction" with extra 1/2" stud length top ball joint for my 67 Firebird.
I have searched archives here and looked at about 20 old post, and not finding what I need.
I am not too picky, Afco, QA1, moog, etc. Looked at Jegs and Summit, google, etc. Can find plenty of low friction, but not longer stud for 67-69 Camaro/Firebird.
Know they are there somewhere.

Thanks

Thanks BigFoot. That is the low friction, but stock length... that is all I have been able to find anywhere for 67-69 Firebird/Camaro.

Know they are out there somewhere...? I sent QA1 tech an email, and a Afco dealer an email. Maybe they will have something.

Pro Forged also makes a 1/2" longer upper (Proforged 101-10016). Not sure how 'low friction' they are.............. -Al

The QA-1 catalog doesn't list an extended length upper for the early Camaro/Firebird/Nova/Chevelle applications. Their pn #1210-113 for these is the standard length stud. When I called them, they confirmed that only the standard stud length (3.486") was available. The ball joint studs are available as seperate items, but again....no longer stud for that model number. Oddly, not even the standard length stud is listed as a seperate replacement item in their catalog. When I pointed this out to the Tech person on the phone, I got the "I dunno why that is." response.

That was 8 months ago, so maybe they are available now...though they are still not a cataloged item. Might be worth a phone call.

J&S, what application did you put this in? That is not showing the right number for the 67-69 F body... did it fit with no modification? That part number is available, and is what I want, but shows for 2nd gen F bodies.

Alan, I will call QA1 if they don't answer my email. Maybe someone there can tell me if the other studs will fit the Firebird part number?

I will check out the Coleman and Pro Forged also.

Thanks again to everyone for the help and suggestions. Will keep checking.

Ken, my 'front end guy' is of the opinion that the standard friction units better control the changes when the front tires hit the ground....kind of 'dampen' things, if you will. If you look at these slow mode videos that Jerry Nash did at Thunder Valley, you can see what goes on a bit better. Pay close attention to Mike Koppien's green '69 Camaro to see how smooth things can be:
