Jim I tried it in the big block 049 head combo. it did not like it

Bill did you go up in ratio from a 2.75 or down from a 2.48? thanks .

I went down to 2.48 the 266 did work in a 396/325 combo

Is the 049 a 427 combo? A friend has a 820 454 d e stocker was thinking the 2.66 mite wk . Thank for the info.

Yes Jim the 049 head is a 454.yeah i think it would help out a stocker
