Questions about slick mounts

Anyone have experience mounting slick mounts in their race trailer, my question is concerning the vertical studs ie; ( space between studs and width of stud) trailer is a 2014 Haulmark . The mounts are T&E brand, plan is to use carriage bolt thur the exterior wall. Your thoughts and experience are appreciated. Thx

Re: Questions about slick mounts

we made mounts about 1 foot square plywood with stud in center -screwed to plywood interior wall. Had the 2 tires verticley, one on top of the other with a support from the floor under the bottom tire and the top tire resting on the lower tire. Many miles with no problems.

Mine are bolted to the wall using a lag bolt through the vertical stud. I used 4 per mount. Many miles with no problems.

Never thought about stacking them Rsmith, good idea .
Mike that's what I was thinking but, how do you determine where the stud is and how wide it is without drilling several small holes ?

My Pace uses what looks like sign posts for vertical studs. if you looked at a cross section they look like an omega symbol. The outer panel screws to the middle of the stud. The inner wall screws to one edge of it and the other edge is about 3" away. If you pull the lower trim you should be able to see the studs to see exactly how they lay out.
