Headers

Is any one making headers the "Jere Stahl" way?
I did notice, on his web site, that there is company called
Advance Composite Products that "may be".

Re: Headers

Advance Composite Products has bought Jere's benders and has employed Greg (20 years at Stahl) to build headers. Kerry Hitt owns ACP and is a good man and easy to deal with. I don't however have a phone # for ACP.

Re: Headers

I hope they get going well and build as good a product as Stahl was for decades.

Re: Headers

I know this is an old post, but in doing a search this came up. I just wanted to help spread the word for Greg at APC (Advance Composite Products), that he is still fabricating the Stahl headers. I just talked to him on Thursday and I guess Judy, who was still taking the orders up to last week had to resign to take care of Jere full time due to his health. He is also providing Step Headers, which I was inquiring about, but he is only building mild steel for now and hopes to be doing stainless within a year. I asked if they would represent the original Stahl and his reply was they are the original Stahl header! He’s using all the same fixtures and as it was previously posted Greg has been with Jere for 20 years plus.

Re: Headers

Greg told me at PRI in 2014 that he would only be building step headers, either one step (two diameters) or two step (three diameters), as he felt like it resulted in a better header, and a better value, as well as much easier fabricating and repairing.

Re: Headers

This is an old post.I got my headers from Greg at ACP in late '14. What a great set of headers! They are stepped of course, but I my case all the steeps are the same size,
1 3/4 ". The model # of my headers- "107".
