Maple Grove .90 Race on May 16-17 Cancelled
 

With tough consideration, I have decided to cancel the Maple Grove .90 Race scheduled for May 16th & 17th. With speaking to Maple Grove, they are awaiting word from government officials on if they can open and what are the stipulations to do so when they do open back up and making sure it’s legal to do so. Yes, I know a few tracks are planning to open but, at what risk is it to us. The big problem is Maple Grove is not getting the answers they need to set-up properly and time is running out (25 days) to give proper notice on a plan of action to make sure its legal and safe. With NHRA now postponing the Lucas Race it's only right to cancel this event.

Yes, we have many questions with no answers right now and I do not see any answers coming soon because our area is still a hot spot. So, we as an association must think of this all the way through and I will be honest some of you will agree with the decision and others will disagree but, this was a hard decision all the way around for me to make. Lots of factors to look at it and unfortunately the cons outweighed the pros. I know we're all itching to get out and race

So we’re hoping to be back to racing for the July 11th & 12th race at Cecil County and the Pig Roast. Hopefully by then we have some sort of answer and policies in place from government. I’ll be honest the Pig Roast could look a little different also if this goes off and not the normal gathering like were used too but, we’ll come to that bridge in about 2 ½ months.
