Dodge Viper V10
Does anyone here run or know of anyone who runs a Dodge V10 in Stock or Super Stock?
The Viper V10 is listed in the NHRA Stock & Super Stock approved model list. The Viper V10 is a "weapon" in Road Racing, but seems to be rarity in drag racing. Regards from OzzyMike:cool: |
Re: Dodge Viper V10
The 'stick only' has been a problem for most racers and hence not much interest. We have a Viper, but has an automatic trans conversion. Also has a 4 link, 9", and lots of other stuff. It is a bracket car, but was allowed to run SS/CA in IHRA. The 2011 512 Challenger models all had Viper motors. We also have one or two of them.

Re: Dodge Viper V10
I don't know if a gt deal would work or not. After having the car for 6 or so years in the back of the shop, I sold it. We still have a 97 Viper that has a t/f trans and is a low 9 sec bracket car. Knowing what we learned on theV10 cars, I figure it will run 8.80. We will get it going again before the end of the year. Gotta get ready for Indy.

Jeff you can get that pushed through I am sure - count me in
Right after the #003 hellcat drag pak Ron |
Re: Dodge Viper V10
The DragPak V-10 motor would be AWFUL heavy in SS/GT. 3,770 in GT/AA. I always felt a 7.00 and 7.50 pound GT class would be good for higher-rated performance motors (older Hemi, L-89, LS-6, etc).
